We were telling you earlier about Toyota’s upcoming Automated Driving Technologies, aimed to improve road safety and also avoid traffic jams.
Now you can see how these systems work in this short video recently released by Toyota.
The automaker says that its plan is not to create self-driving vehicles, but to increase the effectiveness of their safety systems and aid the driver in certain situations while still offering him full control.
The video bellow explains this better, so hit the play button and take a look at how Toyota’s latest technology works. Also you can see some of the current safety systems at work, such as the Pre Collision System which alerts the driver if he’s on a path to collide with something. This system also applies the brakes automatically if the driver is still unresponsive after the acoustic and luminous signals.
