The next-generation Entune system debuts on the 2014 Toyota Corolla, Tundra and 4Runner models, coming with improved functionality and new features.
As we learned earlier, the biggest change involves the apps availability, which won’t need a monthly/yearly subscription to keep the pace with its rivals. At least for three years, after which you’ll have to pay about $14 per month to subscribe to SiriusXM.
The new Entune system also permits users to customize its interface as well as drag-and-drop icons around to sort them according to their needs. The system also works quicker, responding faster to user input, unlike the earlier versions.
Other new features include the Facebook Places app, to show your stalkers when you’ve reached your destination, and a new app for Yelp, to search for local destinations, check users ratings and then set them as the destination on the navigation system.
