Not everyone agrees that patience is a virtue, and we can live with that. But when riding a motorcycle and preparing to enter a road with visibility obstructed by a truck, being patient and observing the traffic carefully prior to venturing forth is definitely paying off.
Such a lesson was taught by life itself to a fellow riding a Honda Gold Wing. Unfortunately, the lesson was taught the very hard way, as the rider crashed violently into a BMW, exactly as the throttled ahead.
You can tell how violent the impact was by observing the damage on the BMW's front end and the way the motorcyclist is launched from the saddle into the very car.
This accident could have been easily prevented if only the God Wing rider would have refrained from darting into the junction ahead and would have moved slowly until he got a clear sight of the road.
