While nobody can say that the Volkswagen Jetta is a car that can start a fire on the inside, when VW introduced the New Compact Coupe, a two-door concept based on the Jetta, we became pretty eager to see the car make it into production. However, Volkswagen won’t bring the Jetta Coupe to real like, as Car and Driver writes.
It seems that the automotive producer’s Mexican plant, where the coupe could have been produced, doesn’t have enough capacity for the project.

However, it’s not all bad news, as the report also indicates that the Beetle convertible is set to arrive at the New York Auto Show, while the hybrid incarnation of the Jetta will be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show.
