The Golf turned 35 and it got a powerful 2.0-liter petrol engine, some big wheels and plenty of stickers and badges. But now it’s the turn of the Caddy to be celebrated, as it turns 30 next year.
To mark the occasion, Volkswagen has created a new Caddy Edition 30 and brought it over to the Frankfurt Auto Show for all to admire. The list of features covers 17 inch machine polished alloys and special badges on the sliding doors, at the back of the car and on the door sills. The Edition 30 gets a gloss black roof for contrast and is offered in five colors: Candy White, Reflex Silver, Salsa Red, Primavera Green or Sunny Yellow. Inside, the van gets Alcantara trim, leather on the wheel, gear lever and handbrake, plus tinted windows.
The model shown if Frankfurt has the 170 hp 2.0 TID and a DSG gearbox, but there’s more options than just this.
