Cheap small cars are usually hard to design and engineer. You either skip on quality or go with less features, and Volkswagen probably went for the latter solution with the production Up. However, once you managed to pull off a great little city runaround, marketing it is very simple.
That’s probably why Volkswagen brought over a total of four exciting up! concepts to this year Frankfurt show. This is the last one, and it’s a bit hard to get your head around. You see, VW has a whole range of Cross vehicles, jacked up versions of regular cars like the CrossPolo, CrossGolf and CrossTouran. This could very well be the next one: a jacked up Up in concept form.
