The new Volvo S60 Polestar high-performance sedan, currently offered in Australia only, will be launched with a price tag of AU$109,950. Set to be delivered later this month, the Volvo S60 Polestar will be built in just 50 units with only one option available, a sunroof for AU$2,650.
The new limited-edition sedan is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine rated at 257 kW (350 HP) at 5,700 rpm and at least 500 Nm. The vehicle will be able to reach an electronically-limited top speed of 250 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds.
Although it’s only a detuned version of the Polestar concept introduced last year, the production Volvo S60 Polestar has retained some of the initial features, including the intercooler, the revised ECU remap and the stainless steel racing exhaust system.
As we already told you earlier today, two race-prepped versions of the S60 Polestar will be entered in the 2014 edition of Australia’s V8 Supercars series.
