No T-Roc R yet, unfortunately, but Volkswagen has presented the R-Line body kit for its smallest crossover at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The R-Line package has been extremely popular with people wanting a sporty look in combination with a frugal engine. However, just like with the Atlas, this one doesn't do all that much for the styling.

At the front, the R-treatment gives the car a slightly refreshed grille with a hexagonal mesh and mildly sculpted bumper.

The back end sports the same kind of fake exhaust tips as the Golf 7.5. Chrome trim is used to suggest pipes that aren't actually there. A subtle trunk spoiler in the same color as the roof can also be seen.

When the T-Roc goes on sale in Europe this fall, it will be available with an R-Line interior kit as well. Its upgrades include a black headliner, aluminum pedal kit and leather-clad flat-bottomed steering wheel.

Of course, this isn't the only way in which you can configure the car. Our favorite is the T-Roc Sport trim level. This includes tinted rear windows and taillights, 17-inch Kulmbach alloy wheels, silver scuff plates and red brake calipers.

And while most small crossovers are just glorified MPVs, the T-Roc has both all-wheel drive options and powerful engines. You can choose between 190 HP versions of the 2.0 TDI and 2.0 TSI. But we'd stick to the 1.5 TSI, which is a 150 HP all-rounder.

R-Line Exterior:

  • Design trim strip with R-Line logo on front side panels and doors
  • Diffuser in sporty design, black textured
  • LED tail light clusters in Dark Red
  • Air intake screen in sporty design, black textured
  • R-Line logo in radiator grille
  • Bumpers in R-styling, front and rear, painted in body color
  • Door add-on parts painted in body color

R-Line Interior:

  • Rooflining in black
  • Door sill trim, front, with R-Line logo
  • Floor mats with decorative stitching
  • Pedal caps and foot rest made of stainless steel
  • R-Line logo on the welcome screen
  • R-Line multifunction sport steering wheel, leather trimmed with decorative stitching and R-Line logo
  • R-Line cloth/microfiber ‘Carbon Flag'/'San Remo' seat covers with
  • R-Line logo on front seats
  • Wheels: 18-inch ‘Sebring' alloy wheels in Grey Metallic,
  • 19-inch ‘Suzuka' alloy wheels in Dark Grapahite with high-gloss surface
  • Gear shift boot with decorative stitching
  • Outer seat bolsters, head restraints and center armrest in leather look with decorative stitching
  • Door armrests in leather look

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
