As the American car maker is easily starting to give up some of its traditional values, automotive producers are becoming more and more open to bringing new models stateside, with the latest example being the VW Scirocco.
The hatchback-coupe’s US market launch was recently discussed by Volkswagen of America CEO Jonathan Browning, who told Automotive News that the vehicle is probably going to be offered to American customers.
However, the move is probably going to be delayed until the company launches the next generation of the car. This will be based on the VW Group’s MQB platform (you can read more about this architeture byu following this link), which will make its debut on the seventh generation of the Golf, a vehicle that is expected to be launched later in the current year.
