Two months after announcing a Wolfsburg Edition for the exiting 2013 GTI, German automaker Volkswagen decided to offer a similar special edition trim for the 2013 Passat as well.
Slotted between the base S and mid-level SE trim, the Wolfsburg Edition comes with unique 16-inch alloy wheels, perforated V-Tex leatherette seats power driver’s seat, heated front seats, satellite radio, and a Media Device-Interface (MDI) with an iPod cable.
Other standard features taken from the S model include Bluetooth techology, multi-function steering wheel with audio and phone controls, automatic headlights, power exterior mirrors and driver’s seat lumbar support. Same as the Passat S, the new special edition sedan will be powered by the 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine and six-speed automatic transmission combo.
The 2013 Passat Wolfsburg Edition will go on sale in late spring, starting at $23,495, not including the $795 destination fee.
