Volkswagen has announced it will be selling a four-door subcompact sedan known simply as the Polo in the Middle East. The car is actually a Polo-based sedan, which will be imported from India.
The affordable entry-level VW sedan will be sold in two trim levels and offered only with a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine with 104 hp, coupled to a six-speed automatic gearbox.
The Polo sedan has a length of 4.384m, increased wheelbase (2.552m) and ground clearance (168–170 mm), over the hatchback.
Standard features that come with the car include 15-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps, electrically-adjustable side mirrors, radio DC with MP3 player, ABS, two airbags and even leather for the steering wheel.
