Volkswagen has just released the European pricing information for the 2011 CrossGolf model.
Introduced at this year’s Geneva Auto Show, the new CrossGolf is based on the sixth generation of the Golf and comes with an engine range comprising of one petrol powerplant (with three power levels) and two diesel units.
The entry level version of the range is the one equipped with the 105 hp 1.4 liter petrol, which will start at EUR 24,425. The next petrol unit is a 122 hp one, followed by a 160 hp powerplant. The diesel side of the line-up includes a 1.6 liter TDI that delivers 105 hp and a 2.0 liter TDI, which offers 140 hp. Four of these engines can be mated to an automatic double clutch gearbox (DSG), with some of them receiving the wet clutch six speed version and others getting the seven speed dry clutch one.
The CrossGolf comes with a 20 mm increased ride height, uses 17 inch alloy rims and comes with a soft off-road body kit, which includes elements such as a front bumper underbody guard, roof rails, a crossbar that features a silver finish and others.
The vehicle’s standard equipment list includes manual air conditioning, daytime running lights, central locking with remote control, height adjustable driver’s seat, bi-directional adjustable steering columns, multi-function display and a glove box that features a locking and a cooling function.
The “semi-rugged” version of the Golf offers a luggage space that varies between 395 liters and 540 liters, depending on the seating configuration chosen by the user.
