The Japanese automaker Nissan is doing quite well across the US automotive market after the first three months of the year and will be even better once the latest reveals hit the nationwide dealerships.
Toyota is hard to catch, of course, and with 565,098 vehicles (+20.3%) sold during Q1 of 2024, it is currently hot on the heels of General Motors, which slipped 1.5% due to a 23% drop in fleet sales to 594,233 units. Alas, Nissan is not too shabby either, ranking third among Asian carmakers in America behind American Honda, which sold 333,824 vehicles (+17.3%).

The Nissan Group followed Toyota and Honda in the Japanese ranks with 252,735 vehicles sold during the first three months of the year, equating to a 7.2% rise in deliveries – and they would have fared even better if the namesake Nissan brand wasn't dragged down by the lackluster performance of Infiniti, which dropped almost 12% year-over-year.

No worries, the 2025 Infiniti QX80 is already live and will soon make a dent in the ranks of premium full-size SUVs with its modern take on a classic sector. Nissan also launched the second-generation 2025 Kicks, and with the daring new styling, it's probably going to be a darling of the compact crossover SUV sector in no time. But that's not all because the Japanese automaker also announced its strategy for the next coming years with 30 new vehicle introductions by 2027.

Those include including 16 hybrids and EVs, plus seven all-new models for the North American markets – the confirmed nameplates include a new generation of the Murano CUV and the popular Armada off-road SUV – which is twinned with the all-new Infiniti QX80 and will also spearhead the international Patrol nameplate's next iteration.

Of course, the rumor mill, along with the imaginative realm of digital car content creators, was quick to give us its opinion about the looks and features of the upcoming 2025 or 2026 third-generation Nissan Armada. The Halo oto channel on YouTube provides fresh automotive info corroborated with their virtual designs; now, there are new CGI ideas about the upcoming Armada (Patrol).

Curiously, although the 2025 Infiniti QX80 is the ritzier and more expensive offering in the full-size SUV segment from the Nissan Group, the unofficial vision by the channel's pixel master makes the 2025 or 2026 Nissan Armada just as cool – if not even more enticing. More precisely, the CGI expert uses the knowledge gained from the spied Armada/Patrol prototypes for the front fascia and adds a fashionable touch – individually controlled LED marking lights in the massive radiator grille.

So, what do you think? Is the Nissan Armada going to arrive looking like these renderings, or is this merely wishful thinking, especially regarding the potentially controversial marker lights? As for the technical details, everyone and their mother expects the QX80 and Armada/Patrol to use the same architecture along with the new 450-hp 3.5-liter VR35DDTT twin-turbo V6 and nine-speed automatic transmission.
