The arrival of the new MINI was celebrated Monday in the UK, as it should be. After the first car was unveiled at the Oxford Plant in the presence of the British Prime Minister, David Cameron, a plethora of stars and fans gathered in London at the Sorting Office venue to welcome it into the world.
Over 500 guests were on the scene, including singer and London local Ellie Goulding, it-girl Peaches Geldof, Kimberley Garner, Diego Bivero-Volpe, Lianne La Havas, Henry Holland, Poppy Delevingne, Laura Bailey, Kelly Eastwood, Jaime Winstone, Jade Ewen and many others.
Synth-Pop band Fenech Soler then hit the stage for a four hour-long live set, all in the honor of the 2014 MINI and the original creator, Sir Alec Issigonis.
In LA, the event was celebrated at the Kim Sing Theater where 175 guests showed up. Tomorrow, the new MINI will also be making its first appearance, at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show.
