The Chevrolet Lacetti and more recently the Kia Cee-apostrophe-Dee have done their job very well, but now it's time for the new model to take over.
We speculated Top Gear's new Reasonably Priced Car was the Dacia Sandero, but we were terribly wrong. It's something with a little bit more style and performance… but not a lot more.

A post on Reddit has revealed the new reasonably priced car is actually a Vauxhall Astra. As per usual, a new car means you need a new board, so the first episode will see celebs like Joss Stone, Rachel Riley, Brian Johnson, David hate, Jimmy Car and Warren Davies.

The sixth generation Vauxhall Astra entered production in 2010 after making its debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. Right now, it's sold in Britain (as a 5-door) with prices from £12,995 and is available with four petrol engines with outputs from 100 to 170 PS, as well as four diesels.

It's been reported in the past cars have seen their sales rise as a result of being on Top Gear, so maybe this will help Vauxuhall as well.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
