Across most major markets in Europe, Infiniti has introduced the updated 2012 FX sports utility vehicle, featuring a revised grille, bumper, new sets of alloys and a widened color pallet to choose from.
“Buyers love the way the FX looks and they love the way it drives so the last thing we are going to do is make changes for change’s sake,” said Bernard Loire, Infiniti Vice President for Europe and Middle East. “What we have done instead is focus on reinforcing FX DNA.”
The engine options across Europe has remained the same. The petrol range starts with the 320 hp 3.7-liter V6 engine fitted to the FX37, and continues with the range-topping 5.0-liter V8 with 390 hp from the FX50. The only diesel option is the FX30d, equipped with its 3.0-litre V6 diesel delivering 238PS.
Only time will tell if Infiniti can make a lasting impression with such few changes, but we’re not holding our breaths.
