The Honda CR-V will be hitting UK shores soon, and it will be on sale in October. Well, it won’t actually ‘hit British shores’, as it is built in Britain, but you get the point. It will be priced from £21,395, for which you get a 2.0-liter petrol engine and front-wheel drive.
The price rises to £32,650, if you want the range-topping 2.2-liter diesel model with all-wheel drive and an automatic gearbox - the EX, the last of the trim levels, which is preceded by S, SE and SR. However, you don’t necessarily have to get the top-spec model to get kit, because even the entry-level model now offers Intelligent Multi Info Display, climate and cruise control, as well as 17-inch alloys. Go one up, and the SE offers automatic lights and wipers, front and rear parking sensors and a rear-view parking camera.
If you still want more kit, go for the SR which adds xenon lights, 18-inch alloys, digital radio and heated front seats. EX cars get full-leather interior, electric driver’s seat, panoramic glass roof, powered tailgate and sat-nav. As far as options go, the only one you should consider is the automatic gearbox, which adds £1,500 to the price of the petrol model and £1,640 to the price of the diesel variant.
