UEFA Europa League Presented by SEAT

The partnership between SEAT and the UEFA Europa League is being continued into the 2010/2011 season. The new season of the UEFA Europa League is debuting today with the first matches from the group stages.

We are youthful, design-oriented and sporty. Our cars are pure emotion, just like European football. That is why the UEFA Europa League is such a perfect match for us. It offers us the perfect setting for presenting the dynamic character of our brand to a large number of people,” says James Muir, President of SEAT.

The Spanish automotive producer announced that the presentation of this top European football league has already become its most successful sports sponsoring package. The sponsorship is a central element of the SEAT image strategy. The 205 matches played in the first season had an audience of 526 million home viewers, while 4.4 million people watched the games live in the stadiums. The impact on SEAT was huge, as the SEAT banner in the uefa.com website, for example, managed to receive over 48 million hits.

SEAT is the Presenting Sponsor of the UEFA Europa League for three seasons since September 2009 (until 2012).

Following the qualification round, the second season of the UEFA Europa League gets underway with the group matches. On the six match days between 16 September and 16 December, a field of 48 first-class teams will play a total of 144 games - a unique festival of football all the way across Europe, from Seville and Palermo to Kiev and St. Petersburg. The best from the group round will enter the high-tension knock-out phase starting on 17 February 2011, with the winners from the semi-finals meeting on 18 May 2011 for the big final in Dublin,” stated the press release, presenting the season's schedule.
