First revealed at the end of January 2023, The Crew Motorfest promised to be a match or even an evolved form of the undisputed king of open-world arcade racing games, Forza Horizon 5. Since it launched on September 14, 2023, Ubisoft says the game has been doing great. Now, the video game publishers have released the last batch of updates for this year, along with some interesting stats.
One of the best parts of Motorfest is that The Crew 2 players could have imported their garage on launch day for free. And according to Ubisoft, players have imported more than 63 million vehicles.

Next, apparently, over 7 billion kilometers or 4.35 billion miles have been traveled, and people played over 354 million hours, meaning 14,750,000 days. Finally, more than 545,000 Grand Races and 94,000 Demolition Races have been played.

A Grand Race in Motorfest is an unusually long online race split into three sections, where 28 players compete in complete and utter chaos. If you have 10 or more minutes to spare, it's a really fun time, I have to admit. As for Demolition Royale, it's exactly what it sounds like: a battle royale mode akin to the Eliminator mode in Forza Horizon 5.

Now, what's peculiar about these stats is that Ubisoft didn't disclose an actual player count. Could it be that it's underwhelming and also the reason why Motorfest is so often on sale?

The last time they released a head count, the overall numbers dabbled into the 40 million threshold. So, if we take that into consideration, we could have a plausible argument that Ubisoft isn't really proud of Motorfest's player numbers. Or it could very well be that they're waiting to hit 5 million or more before they start bragging.

The game is currently on sale at 50% on the PC Ubisoft store. It costs $35, almost as much as the Lamborghini Huracan STO skin in Fortnite.

However, for those of you not sure you want to even spend the 35 bucks or the full price when the Winter Sale goes away, you can always subscribe to the $15-a-month Ubisoft+ subscription service. You'll find it on PC and Xbox and get Motorfest, along with everything else Ubisoft has published at no extra cost.

Oh, and if you've never dabbled in the game even once, there is a free 5-hour trial waiting for any takers on the Ubisoft PC store. And yes, all your progress will carry over if you decide to buy the game after the trial expires.

The Crew Motorfest is excellent as an open-world arcade racer. Autoevolution gave it an 85 score out of 100 and said, "The third time seems to be the charm since The Crew Motorfest took its lessons seriously and turned out to be a well-rounded experience," and that it's a "bullseye for those looking for a casual racing experience."
