Who says you have to own a V8-powered Ford Mustang to have some track fun? You can do that as well while in a supercharged V6 pony... and we have proof.
The guys over at V6 Mustang Performance took their latest project car at the Road America in Elkhart, Wisconsin, during the Annual North Woods Shelby Club Event, and put it to good work on a few laps around the track.
Thanks to a batch of upgrades, including Kenny Brown Performance rear suspension modifications, Eibach springs, a SPEC clutch and EBC brakes, the 3.7-liter Mustang had no trouble keeping up with the V8 ponies. In fact, the driver managed a 2:55 lap, which isn't bad when compared to the exotic cars that have lapped Road America up to only 20 seconds faster.
