We have entered the final month of summer, but already it feels like the vacation is long gone, and we're back in full swing across the automotive industry. And the novelties keep piling up.
August started with the worldwide introduction of the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser – also known as Prado or 250 across certain regions – with two front styles paying homage to the distant (round headlights) or close past (J80 homage, most likely). In America, it also rocks a 326-hp hybrid i-Force Max powertrain borrowed from the 2024 Tacoma.

Cadillac waited a while and then asked for a chance at stardom on the catwalk in New York City with the red-carpet introduction of the first-ever, all-electric 2025 Escalade IQ. It boasts classic Escalade styling, only updated with IQ family cues, dimensions that make it almost as big as the Escalade ESV, 200+ kWh worth of Ultium batteries, up to 750 hp, and an estimated range of 450 miles (724 km).

So, what more could anyone want, save for a lower asking price – it's $130k! If you want something more affordable and also looking prepared for lots of adventures, the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe premiere in Santa Fe, New Mexico, might be the correct answer with turbo and hybrid powertrains before the Monterey Car Week events take over with a tidal wave of revelations.

However, not everyone is focused on North America right now. Some folks – such as the ones inhabiting the imaginative realm of digital car content creators – only think of executive German sedan stuff. For example, Ildar, the virtual artist better known as ildar_project on social media, usually plays with tuned vehicles - so is anyone surprised by this feisty M5 project?

The G90 BMW M5 sedan and G99 BMW M5 Touring models are coming. There's no doubt about that after countless spied prototypes showcased by our spy photographer partners and the Bavarians introducing the all-new 5 Series plus the first-ever i5 in feisty M60 form. But, of course, we first expected to see the OEM take on the all-new M5 generation and then proceed to mix it with some flavors from across the aftermarket realm.

Nope, that was not the case here, as the pixel master has already worked his magic with the regular 5 Series and i5. So, no wonder that he took the unofficial depiction of the BMW M5 from carwow and then reinterpreted the upcoming plug-in hybrid monster a little more rebellious. And, allegedly with up to 830 horsepower on tap, can anyone blame the CGI expert for wanting to make the BMW executive sedan as exotic as possible?

By the way, for reference, the green menace is Ildar's handiwork in tuned BMW M5 form, while the crimson version is the hypothetical OEM look as imagined by the author behind carwow's exclusive renderings. Plus, we also tucked in the gallery some of the latest spy shots of the BMW M5 prototypes for additional reference. Enjoy!
