Company cars are rarely interesting automotive proposals, usually being vehicles that offer anything but an involving driving experience. However, things change dramatically if we are talking about a company car that belonged to... Travis Pastrana, the X-Games rally champion.

Subaru decided to offer a special Impreza WRX STI to the racing driver. The project was developed as an unique, but not extreme, creation. A stock incarnation of the 2008 WRX STI was modified by engineers from Vermont SportsCar, which are responsible for Subaru’s USA rally cars, being tailor-made for Pastrana.

The vehicle’s exterior received a chin spoiler, a new front grille, PIAA High Intensity Discharge headlights, a carbon fiber hood, a carbon fiber wing and rally spec mud flaps. As for the 2.5 liter turbocharged boxer engine, this received a performance downpipe and an ECU remap, as well as a set of exhaust finishers. The vehicle’s factory shifter was replaced with a STI short-throw one.

The vehicle’s handling was enhanced through the installation of SPT front strut and lower chassis braces, while the braking system received custom red STI Brembo calipers. The vehicle rides on Work Emotion XD9 18”x9” rims that are finished in custom satin black and use BFGoodrich g-Force Super Sport A/S 275/35 tires.

The interior was gifted with a multitude of elements in order to become a “Pastrana environment”, with the list of additions including carbon fiber trimming, custom blue Alacantra upholstery, yellow accents, as well as a set of ICE (In-Car Entertainment) systems.

Pastrana only put 5,668 miles (9,125 km) on the vehicle’s odometer, also autographing the car. The bidding for the vehicle has ended, but the reserve was not met (the highest bid was $32,299), so you might still have a chance to make it yours. You can reach the auction by following this link.
