Travis Pastrana Confirms Presence in the 2010 Race of Champions

Race of Champions fans will be happy to find out that eleven X-Games gold medalists and four-time Rally America title holder Travis Pastrana will be joining the field once again for the event to take place on Dusseldorf's ESPRIT arena, Germany, on November 27-28.

Pastrana has been a regular presence in the RoC in recent years, having made a strong impact during his 2005 appearance in the freestyle motocross exhibition. He crashed during one of his jumps and broke his leg, yet he continued to run in the Cup of Nations for Team USA and took them into the semi-finals.

A year later, in 2006, he took Team USA to the final, after both Jimmie Johnson and Scott Speed were injured prior to the event. His teammate for the 2010 edition of the RoC is yet to be announced.

The Race of Champions is the event I look forward to the most. I feel very fortunate to be invited again to represent my country and I'm tired of losing! I have high expectations for the USA this year and can't wait to drive against the world’s best,” said Pastrana.

Travis is one of the true legends of The Race of Champions so we’re delighted that he’s coming back again this year. He always thrills the crowds with his zany antics and he’s sure to be up to his usual tricks in November…” added Race of Champions boss Fredrik Johnsson.

Until now, several big names have been confirmed for the 2010 RoC, including seven-time Formula 1 world champion Michael Schumacher, four-time F1 world champion Alain Prost, six-time world rally champion Sébastien Loeb, eight-time Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen, 2010 F1 title contender Sebastian Vettel and three-time WTCC champion Andy Priaulx.
