Toyota recently revamped its Verso family-hauler, adding more style and convenience to the package, while keeping its heart and soul unchanged.
While the underpinnings remained the same, the exterior got the new Toyota face, contoured by the big trapezoidal grille and the narrow one above set between redesigned headlights flowing deep into the car’s quarters. Except for some accentuated lines on the sides and redesigned taillamps and bumper, the Verso kept its MPV shape, while the new roof rails and 16-inch alloy wheels complete its look.

The version tested by iAfrica was the one fitted with the 2-liter D-4D diesel engine making 91 kW and 310 Nm of torque available from 1,600 rpm, which enables the car to achieve a fuel consumption of 5.5 l/100 km on sheet. Tested in real life, the Verso achieved a decent 6.2 l/100 km.
