The 2014 Toyota Highlander takes the family-focused crossover segment up a notch, coming with a more interesting look, functionality and interior convenience.
So, for a family that hates minivans, the new Highlander comes with a bolder styling, having a big grille and new sleek wraparound headlamps, restyled bumpers and taillights along with other minor modified lines here and there.

Engines come in three flavors - a 2.7-liter 4-cylinder, 3.5-liter V6 and an electric powertrain. Another good thing to know is that the 3.5-liter V6 AWD version can be had now with a 6-speed automatic gearbox, unlike the 5-speed one offered before.

Auto Guide recently tested the new Highlander 3.5-liter V6 AWD version, which they found to be the same efficient and functional vehicle up until now, all being wrapped in a new skin and offering a better drive than ever. The only wrongs with the new crossover are said to be the V6 powertrain that feels kind of winded, the higher price and the fact that comes with a pointless four-cylinder that doesn’t make any sense for performance or fuel efficiency regarding the vehicle’s size.
