Toyota will be out in full force at this year's 2023 Rebelle Rally, one of North America's rally racing events reserved exclusively for women drivers and their support crews. After sending only three vehicles to the landmark event in 2022, Toyota enters this year's running with an astonishing six vehicles, with one driver and one navigator between them. It makes for a 12-woman-strong Toyota team set to hit the dunes across Nevada and California in a flash of stunning and elaborate decals we only wish we could put on our own vehicles.
With one 4Runner, two Sequoias, and two Tundra pickups set to hit the trail for this year's Rebelle Rally, each team employs a group of women from an eclectic set of backgrounds and disciplines within the automotive sector. Coming from professions like production engineering, like the teams of Samantha Barber and Becky Brophy, and Sandra Li and Myra Padda, or the R&D side, like Heather Eich and Alison McGowan and Sive'a Peralta and Rie Iida, all people and skillsets will be tested to the limit across the ten-day event with eight days of competition. From October 12th to the 21st of 2023, these trailblazing women will duke it out for the title of queens of the dunes. It's a race they'll need all their skillsets working to perfection to win.

"As a trailblazer, Toyota understands the values of collaboration, perseverance, and the unwavering pursuit of excellence," exclaimed Kristen Tabar, group vice president, Advanced Mobility Research and Development at Toyota Motor North America. "The Rebelle Rally provides the perfect platform for Toyota team members to demonstrate their passion for learning and problem-solving, develop their driving skills, navigate treacherous terrains, and work together as a cohesive unit. This remarkable journey highlights important principles to Toyota’s culture: teamwork and the challenging spirit that drives the brand forward."

Through the Toyota-sponsored Rebelle Rally Live Webcast, fans and spectators alike can receive real-time updates from the women out on the dunes and stay up to date on all the exciting turns of events you could expect from a grueling week-plus of solid racing. With six chances of winning instead of three this year, expect Toyota to stay in the picture to win it all until the moment these incredible women start crossing the finish line. "Partnering with Rebelle Rally allows us to share amazing stories of resilience, determination, and uncompromised power that our team members and vehicles showcase during this challenging event," said Susann Kazunas, Vice President at Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Texas. "We invite everyone to join us in celebrating the durable trucks and the incredible women who embody the spirit of the rally."
