We really can’t think of Toyota as a mean brand, going around in leather clothes and punishing people for making small errors. The new Aygo X-Wave however, had other things in mind in Toyota’s latest ad.
They made songs and even movies about weather forecasters, these normal people trying to guess the weather’s behavior so that we can all know what to expect during the week or over the weekend.

But they’re only human and humans make mistakes. Of course, we like it when they get it wrong and instead of rain and snow we get sunshine and warm weather, but most of the times it’s the other way round.

So, Toyota thought about a little game that now serves as an ad in Europe for the Aygo X-Wave. Here’s the thing: TV meteorologists have to drive an Aygo for a month, but the retracting canvas top is either opening or closing according to their predictions.

In other words, when they predict bad weather, the canvas roof stays closed. If their prediction includes sunshine and fluffy weather, the canvas roof will open as they enter the car and stay like that for the entire trip. So, if they predict sunny weather but in fact it will rain, we’re looking at a pretty bad day for them.

Alright, alright, the entire thing is staged but take our word for it: the ad is as funny as they come and it’s the best way to start your day off, no matter if the sun is shining or dark clouds cover the sky at your current location.
