So, the first trailer for Avengers 4 dropped, and people are geeking out over every little detail. There are no cars in there, but we do know the Audi e-tron GT concept is going to make its big-screen debut in Endgame.
Robert Downey Jr. told us so during a sort of unveiling of the prototype that coincided with the LA Auto Show. People have been suggesting that it could be a joke, but would Audi hire one of the richest actors out there if they didn't plan to feature their car in the upcoming blockbuster? We think not.

We found a blurry behind-the-scenes sort of clip where Downey Jr. is the one who introduces Audi's chief designer Marc Lichte, and together they unveil the e-tron. If that's too grainy for you, then check out the official variant, which starts with the actor in the original R8.

As every Iron Man fan will tell you, Audi has been with the franchise since before Marvel movies were such a phenomenon. It's been over ten years since the R8 became the car we associate with the genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist. Downey's character cheated on Audi with an Acura, but returned to the latest R8 and also sat in the back of the A8 limo for Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The scene in the video where Audi's designer tries to draw the GT on a screen seems a little forced, but the feelings both of them have for cars, in general, seem very honest. After the unveiling, Downey comments about wanting to drive it, to which Lichte answers "but you have already driven it," and the whistle is blown.

The e-tron GT will be in Avengers: Endgame. I don't know how they are going to sneak the German electric car of the future into a movie about interdimensional travel and space battles. And have you seen the trailer? It's all about Tony Stark being stuck in space forever.
