Mazda brought the CX-5 to the Tokyo Motor Show and we have to tell you that the crossover has a special way of making you like it. It could be its styling cues, which really seem to be a very accurate translation of “Zoom Zoom” ,even if Mazda doesn’t talk about this.
Actually, the CX-5’s strong point is its tech side, as the vehicle is a showcase of Mazda’new body and powertrain technologies. While the structure of the car uses new types of steel to combine strength with reduced weight, the powertrain department includes two all-new SKYACTIV units.

We’ll start with the oil burner, the first SKYACTIV diesel engine, which is making its debut on the vehicle. We are talking about a 2.2-liter unit that delivers 150 or 175 hp. The CX-5 is also available with a 2.0-liter gasoline engine that produces 165 hp.
