Three Ferrari Debuts at Goodwood

One of the most anticipated automotive events in the UK is approaching and by the looks of it, it will be one to remember. Several manufacturer and auto houses have already presented their line-up for the event, promising several UK or world debuts at Goodwood.

This time is Ferrari's turn to let us know they will bring, for the first time in the UK, three of their models: the California, the Scuderia Spider 16M and the 599 GTB Fiorano with HGTE package. To give you an idea of what you can see at Goodwood, we will remind you what the three are all about in the lines below.

The first front-engined V8 in Ferrari's line-up, the California, promises to be a treat for automotive enthusiasts. The direct injection 4.3l 460 hp engine, mated to Ferrari’s first dual-clutch 7-speed gearbox is not the only part of the car admiration-worthy.

The California is, as Ferrari says, packed with technology: F1-Trac traction control system, a new multi-link rear suspension and a 14 seconds open-close retractable folding hardtop.

The Scuderia Spider 16M, launched to commemorate Ferrari’s 16th F1 Constructors’ Title in 2008, is one of the just 499 units ever built. Ferrari says "the Scuderia Spider 16M features the same honed-to-perfection handling of the 430 Scuderia, but with some additional livery options, interior detailing and, of course, the extreme thrills that come with open-top motoring in Ferrari’s fastest convertible."

Ferrari will also bring with them at the event the 2008 Championship-winning F1 car, to join several other privately-owned cars: a 1956 166 MM Barchetta, 1961 196 SP Dino, 1967 312/68, 1969 312 P, 512 S and 365 GTS4 Daytona, 1978 312 T3 and 1980 512 BBLM.
