1973 was the best year for the Lincoln Continental Mark IV, as its sales reached 69,500 units, up from 48,500 cars in 1972, despite the price increase for the new model.
The price increase continued in 1974, as a new Continental Mark IV was available from $10,194. Unsurprisingly, the pricing strategy produced a drop in sales, so the yearly numbers went down to 57,000 units before declining again to 47,000 cars in 1975.

All Continental Mark IVs rolled off the assembly lines with a 460 (7.5-liter) V8 rated at 365 horsepower – the power rating was decreased to 212 horsepower in 1972 when automakers started using the net figures.

The 1973 Lincoln Continental Mark IV published on eBay by the folks at Druk Auto Sales (username druk_auto_sales on the auction site) has everything to provide you with a closer look at the original model. The car exhibits an impressive overall shape, with everything solid and straight. The garage in charge of finding a new owner does not mention a past restoration, and I believe this Lincoln is still unmolested and unrestored. Still, a complete in-person inspection is recommended for more information.

Born and raised in South Dakota, this Mark IV is finished in metallic red, and the paint survived the test of time quite nicely. It's hard to tell if it's spotless based purely on the provided photos, but you should get a more accurate picture if you inspect the car in person.

The interior is amazing, and the sellers claim it looks like it was in the showroom. Nothing is missing, and everything is working, including the power windows, seats, wipers, and headlamp covers.

The engine under the hood is the same 460 V8 I told you about earlier, and unsurprisingly, it works flawlessly. The Mark IV is ready to become a daily driver, though the next tidbit could convince you to park the car in a garage and care for it meticulously for as long as possible.

The vehicle has just 20,000 miles (around 32,000 km) on the clock, and they are all original. The low-mile survivor spent most of its life sitting in a garage, as this is the only way to preserve this incredible condition without a previous restoration.

The Lincoln Continental Mark IV bidding is underway, with the top offer now at $5,200. The garage selling the car has also enabled a reserve, but with a few hours remaining until the auction ends, the chances of seeing it unlocked are very slim. The car has a Buy It Now price of approximately $20,000, and the reserve is likely to have a similar value.

The Mark IV will most likely fail to find a new owner this time, but a new auction will certainly start soon.
