We remember the times that followed the "market" launch of the LaFerrari (quotes are here since all the 499 units were sold out at the debut). Car spotters were watching each new hue that showed up on the street, with Ferraristi getting excited on one occasion after another. Well, we seem to be back at square one, since we want to show you a LaFerrari with quite a special livery.
Sure, a five-year old could tell you the tricolore stuff (please excuse the Lamborghini language) isn't the usual business in Maranello. So the owner had a little char with the people working for Ferrari's Tailor Made program. We really don't want to know how that discussion affected his bank account, but since no details accompany these images, our non- wish is fulfilled.

Nevertheless, there's more to this three-hue Prancing Horse than it might seem. In case you are looking at this 950 hp (963 PS) hybrid and thinking "hmm... I think I've seen this on a Prancing Horse before," you are right.

The petrol-electric creature's appearance reminds us of the Ferrari 458 Italia Dragon Special Edition. You know, the one they only offered in China for a horse-prancing $820,000 (EUR697,000) per piece - a total of 20 were built. For the record, that's roughly a $250,000 (EUR230,000) premium over the standard price of a 458 in China.

Still, there are enough differences between the two. First of all, paying that much for a 458 brought one the unique Marco Polo Red and, more importantly... dragons.

The mythical creatures are missing from the LaFerrari, but Black and Gold do accompany what appears to be Rosso Corsa.

Those worried about the paint getting damaged due to abuse from the driver's side shouldn't fret. We don't expect the guy to be speeding anytime soon, since the hypercar is on Swiss plates, with the country's speeding fines taking a driver's wealth into account.

All this means people around will have time to get a good look at this LaFerrari livery.
