The LaFerrari itself may still be a riddle to many, but a recent happening at the 2015 Australian Gran Prix gives the entire petrol-electric story a whole new twist. Spoiler alert: it all has to do with a LaFerrari that relies on... Honda power.
It looks likes the McLaren team isn't the only one relying on Honda muscle this year - the Japanese company has returned to F1 as an engine supplier for the Brits. Yes, you heard that right, Honda is also supporting the Maranello people.

Before anybody starts prancing, you should know we are only talking about a LaFerrari that was receiving electron juice from a Honda generator. The petrol-to-electric machine was supplied by the production company handling business around the paddock, so the Ferrari people have no hand in this. After all, everybody knows Honda builds the Chuck Norris of generators (read: its entire line-up of generators), so why ignore the reliability?

As for the image itself, this was snapped by a Redditor who visited Albert Park earlier this week.

Then again, you can look on the bright side - while very few mortals are able to get behind the wheel of a LaFerrari, let alone own one, we can all buy Honda generators now.

What? The Japanese company builds more than 499 units, they're not all sold out when the market launch takes place and you don't have to own a garage full of Hondas in order to be eligible for the purchase. Wonder if they make these machines in carbon fiber.
