Spanish carmaker SEAT is the poorer relative in the Volkswagen Group, always struggling to sell in the numbers Skoda and VW manage. While their lineup tries to be sporty, this is done by cutting corners instead of adding them.
Both the Ibiza and Leon offer SC variants with two less doors, but both fall short of what people believe a coupe should be. SEAT also doesn't have any convertibles, despite VW currently having three of them, but that's another story.
Hungarian car renderer X-Tomi has created this interesting concept he calls the SEAT Lugo. If that front end looks familiar, that's because it belongs to the Leon, which is not necessarily a bad thing. The back is a true coupe shape, somewhat similar to the Audi TT.
Which brings us to the only tangible part of this article. Volkswagen has pledged to do something completely different to the current model when the Scirocco is replaced, while Audi also want something bigger and better from the next TT. Maybe, just maybe, these two could be developed together with the first real coupe since the Cordoba SX was killed off in 2002.
