This is How a Mercedes-Benz B 45 AMG Could Look

Now at its second generation and slowly but surely approaching a mid-cycle facelift, the Mercedes-Benz B-Class is a car that is fit for quite a number of adjectives, but “sporty” is most definitely not one of them.
With over a million units sold until now, the B-Class is the best sold MPV model from any car brand in Germany, while recent service-based studies have shown that it is also one of the most reliable cars.

Nevertheless, the complete lack of sportiness remains, something which got Dutch Photoshop artist Pieter van Bergeijk to think about how a hardcore B 45 AMG version might look.

After all said and done, Pieter created two redenderings of the highly implausible Mercedes-Benz B 45 AMG, with both an “Edition 1” and a “regular” model being represented rather nicely, we might add.

As you can see, pretty much all the usual AMG design details have been transplanted from various other models onto the family MPV, making it look like it could teach even a real sports car a lesson or two when it comes to dynamics.

If built – which it obviously never will – the Mercedes-Benz B 45 AMG would naturally borrow the bonkers M133 engine and the 4Matic all-wheel drive system from the A 45, CLA 45 and GLA 45 AMG, making it handle no less than 360 hp and 450 Nm (332 lb ft) of torque.

The pointlessness of the rendering doesn't make it any less cooler in our view though, especially since the market of high-performance European MPV vehicles has decreased to precisely zero after the Opel Zafira OPC went out of production. What do you guys think?
