Restomods treatments are pretty cool, nobody can deny it, as they combine the classic recipe of a car with a modern approach, thus giving the vehicle a completely new look, feel, and sometimes purpose.
This is exactly the case of the 1986 Chevrolet C10 you’re looking at right here, as it’s been converted from a regular truck into a monster that seems to be capable of climbing pretty much anywhere.

In essence an off-road beast, the C10 was first thrown into a frame-off restoration that eventually gifted it with massive upgrades, and BJ Motors, the garage selling it online, claims “no bolt or nut went untouched.

The truck now sports a 9" suspension lift and 3" body lift and uses 20x12 Raceline wheels wearing 40" Toyo tires. The front relies on a Dana 60 axle, while on the back, there’s a full-float 14-bolt axle with a Detroit locker.

The monster is paired by a 350ci (5.7-liter) V8 engine machined and bored to become a 355ci, while the transmission is a SM465 4-speed unit with a Centerforce dual-friction clutch.

There’s of course so much more to discover in this restomod, and other highlights include a PSC hydraulic assist kit, custom traction bars, driveshaft safety looks, shock mounts, and hoops. It also comes with an Off Road Design crossover steering kit.

According to the official listing, the chassis of this custom Chevy has been used for over 150,000 miles (241,401 km), but since the restoration, it’s been driven for nearly 6,300 miles (10,138 km).

If this is the kind of truck that you think can help deal with a zombie apocalypse (because really now, nobody knows what to expect from this crazy year anymore), you can get the custom C10 from BJ Motors today for $36,995. It’s parked in Texas for anyone who wants to check it out in person and see what the restomod is all about live.
