Cross-country roadtrips are a sweet way of spending your summer, whether you choose to go on such an adventure alone, or with your SO. Oh, and there's also the third version, which sees drivers spending the summer with their mechanical love.
Case in point with the owner of the red Miata in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page. The man apparently loves his Mazda enough to take it for a roadtrip around the US.

As you can imagine, such an episode requires a certain amount of luggage, which can easily overburden the little sportscar. As a result, the aficionado gifted his Miata with a trailer. The latter is split between carrying the man's stuff and an extra set of tires.

Speaking of rubber, the trip will include attendance to multiple Miata events, so this 1993 model will get to show its happy face to tons of other MX-5s.

It's obvious the man has a thing for spending time inside his Miata. After all, the Sparco bucket seats and the Alcantara-wrapped steering wheels are enough of a clue. Wait, what? The man is going to perform acrobatics-grade entries and exits all summer long? It seems there's no other way for him.

While the clip below is actually focused on a BMW adventure, you can skip to the 3:19 point for the Miata part of the video.

Speaking of looong Miata roadtrips, we'll never forget a sigh Monaco offered a few years ago. We were right in front of the Casino, with the tons of supercars and lavish machines there accompanied by an NB (second-generation) Miata, such as the one we have here.

The driver hadn't gone for a trailer, choosing to use an extra luggage support mounted outside of the car (atop of the trunk). This obviously wasn't enough, which meant his SO had to share the already limited legroom with plenty of bags - Miata girlfriends deserve tons of respect!

P.S.: If you feel like following the Sparco Miata guy over the season, the #miataroadtrip hashtag should help you keep an eye on his quest to put joyful miles on his Mazda.
