Offered between 1990 and 2005, the first-generation Honda NSX was marketed under the Acura brand stateside. 1,154 units were sold in the United States of America during calendar 1992, plus 1,940 in 1991, including the car you're currently admiring.
Chassis number JH4NA1150NT000443 is the so-called NA1 specification, which stands for the 3.0-liter V6 engine rather than the pop-up headlights. Honda produced quite a few 3.2-liter cars with pop-up lights, commonly referred to as NA2 or Phase 2.

Equipped with clear headlights, the black-painted NSX is currently located in California. Rather than a naturally-aspirated V6, this fellow is rocking a CT Engineering supercharger. Joined by a beefier clutch assembly from Comptech, the NSX also had its original five-speed manual swapped for a sixer.

The six-speed unit was introduced in 1997 with a dual-mass clutch rather than the twin-disc setup of the previous transmission. Further spruced up with 725-cc injectors, a Comptech air intake, Comptech/CT Engineering headers, and an AEM fuel system and ignition system controller, the midship sports car from Japan produces 393 horsepower at the wheels.

Emphasis on the rear wheels. As a brief refresher, the 1992 model year Acura NSX used to belt out 270 horsepower at the crankshaft. If optioned with the automatic, make that 252 free-breathing ponies. With the aforementioned mods, the NSX lays down 278 pound-feet (377 Nm) as opposed to 210 pound-feet (285 Nm) at the crankshaft in bone-stock flavor.

This 1992 Acura NSX was a $60k-plus car when brand-spanking new, meaning well over $130,000 after we adjust the original retail price for inflation. JH4NA1150NT000443 is listed at $50,000 after three bids on Bring a Trailer. With five days of bidding left, it's definitely going to sell for a whole lot more. After all, early models in tip-top condition are worth in excess of $100k in this day and age.

Equipped with a pair of Honda catalytic converters, this blast from the past breathes out better through a titanium exhaust system produced by ARC. The list of upgrades further includes ScienceofSpeed engine mounts, a boost gauge mounted on the driver-side A pillar, BLAM audio speakers, a Helix M Four amplifier, a Sony touchscreen media receiver, Euroboutique carbon-fiber inserts, and a Euroboutique leather steering wheel. Rather than Acura, the airbag cover features the Honda logo.

Also equipped with Simpson racing harnesses, the NSX is beautified with RAYS forged wheels in black over red brake calipers. Brembo disc brakes and KW V3 coilover suspension need to be mentioned as well, together with anti-sway bars from Comptech, a Driving Ambition rear beam, plus a toe link kit.

Rolling on Yokohama ADVAN Neova rubber boots, the NSX last passed a California emissions test in March 2022. The Carfax report notes a small accident in 1997, which resulted in damage to the rear bumper. Technically sound and free of rust, JH4NA1150NT000443 shows 57,836 miles (93,078 kilometers) on the clock, which is peanuts for the VTEC-infused C30A. Lest we forget, there's at least one 1992 Acura NSX out there with more than 400,000 miles (643,738 kilometers) to its name.
