Chevrolet produced over 326,000 units of the first Nova iteration, and the four-door sedan accounted for nearly half of the entire output with approximately 139,000 units.
The convertible was the rarest configuration in 1962, with its production reaching only 23,741 units. While the station wagon got close to 60,000 units, few are still around today, becoming one of the rarest Nova versions you can find.

Someone on Craigslist claims they have a "very rare" four-door station wagon, albeit it's unclear what makes the car so special. However, its condition is impressive, especially as the owner has already made the essential fixes and got the car ready for the road.

As every Nova enthusiast knows, the 1962 model year was not available with a V8 engine, albeit it didn't take long for dealers to perform swaps that provided an adrenaline boost behind the wheel of Chevy's model. The Nova could be had with inline-four or six-cylinder engines until the GM brand officially introduced a V8 option in 1964.

This Nova is powered by a 194 unit with a 3-speed transmission, and the good news is that the engine starts and runs flawlessly. Thanks to the other repairs, the car can drive anywhere, so if you want to purchase this Nova, you won't even need a trailer to take it home. You can hop behind the wheel and drive the Nova, as the entire mechanical part has been refreshed, and no further fixes are required. The car also sports a new clutch and pressure plate.

The metalwork has already been completed, and the car is now flexing new floor pans. I'm certain the undercarriage was wrecked before this partial restoration work, so the next buyer should be happy that the owner took care of the rusty floor pans.

The interior is "mostly original" and looks great, with the seats nearly spotless.

The body is the only part that'll require more work, though it all depends on whether you're a fan of vintage patinas or want a car in tip-top shape. A collector might choose the latter option so that a respray would be required for a flawless Nova.

Otherwise, it's hard to find something that'll make you walk away on this Nova. The restoration work is impressive, so the station wagon body style is probably the only thing some people won't like on this Nova. The convertible was the rarest version, but the station wagon isn't everybody's cup of tea, so it'll be interesting to see how fast this car finds a new home.

This Nova isn't cheap, so if you want to park it in your garage, it'll cost $13,500. You can find it in Urbana, Illinois, and thanks to its condition, you won't need a trailer to take it home.
