Having undergone a mid-cycle refresh a couple of months ago, the 2023 Scala and Kamiq are now on sale in the United Kingdom, where Skoda has announced their prices and specifications.
Replacing the four-year-old model, the 2023 Skoda Scala is offered in three trim levels. These are called the SE, SE L, and Monte Carlo and carry respective on-the-road prices of £22,095 ($26,905), £23,895 ($29,097), and £27,795 ($33,846).
Choosing the entry-level will get you 16-inch alloys, full LED headlights, LED DRLs, rear parking sensors, keyless go, an 8-inch digital display, an 8.25-inch infotainment screen, wireless Smartlink, and dual-zone climate control. The mid-spec brings 17-inch alloys, a large 9.2-inch infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, red and white ambient lighting in the center armrest, rear privacy windows, and chrome window surround.
Topping the family is the Monte Carlo, with its dedicated badges, dynamic look, and additional gear. This grade features the full LED Matrix adaptive headlights with dynamic turn signals, panoramic sunroof, rearview camera, and drive mode selector with Sport Chassis Control. Other stuff added at no extra cost comprises the 18-inch alloys, black side mirror casings, radiator grille, and tailgate lettering. Recycled materials are used throughout the cockpit on all flavors of the compact hatchback.
The engine family includes gasoline units with 1.0 and 1.5 liters, paired to a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DSG, depending on the selected powertrain. The base model has 95 ps (94 hp/70 kW) from its 1.0 TSI, whereas the mid-range variants enjoy 116 ps (114 hp/85 kW). The top-of-the-line trims add a 1.5 TSI with 150 ps (148 hp/110 kW).
Mirroring its low-riding sibling, the 2023 Skoda Kamiq is also offered in the same trims. Pricing starts at £24,030 ($29,262) for the SE, with its 17-inch alloys, 8.0- and 8.25-inch displays, LED headlights, dual-zone climate control, and basically everything else offered on the eponymous Scala. The SE L comes from £27,175 ($33,091), adding 18-inch wheels, 9.2- and 10.25-inch screens, rear privacy windows, chrome window surrounds, and ambient lighting.
