Camper conversions based on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans are now a dime a dozen and have become a common sight at campgrounds, at the beach, at trailheads, and on the country's highways, so it's easy to assume they are all the same. But every so often, we come across a van build that is so unique, different, and awesome that it blows your mind. This is the case with Odyssey, a camper van that can be best described as a rolling masterpiece.
We love it when van builders push the envelope and come up with creative new ideas to turn the limited square footage inside a van into an astounding living space that inspires adventure. Odyssey is the creation of Lucas Ravizza, the man behind Ravizza Luxury Vans, a small outfit that specializes in building bespoke luxury camper vans that will elevate your camping experience to new levels. With an innovative spirit and strong attention to detail, Lucas creates true works of art that will take you on any adventure in comfort and style.

Odyssey is built on a 2022 170" WB 4x4 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, and a long roster of unique features never before seen in a camper van make it stand out from the crowd, including a corner wet bath, a see-through glass pantry, hidden beverage cubbies, a gorgeous closet that has switchable tint glass doors, a full standing wet garage, and more.

But before going into more detail about the interior, let's take a look at the exterior and chassis modifications. In order to make the Sprinter more adventure-ready, Lucas equipped it with the Agile Off-Road Rip Kit suspension system and Black Rhino Arsenal rims shod in BF Goodrich Ko2 all-terrain tires. He also added a Backwoods front bumper, a bullbar lightbar, electric steps on the driver and passenger side, a side ladder, a storage box on the rear door perfect for keeping wet boots out of the van, as well as a ladder/spare tire carrier combo. Side flares extend the interior bedroom space by 12 inches, and on the roof, you'll discover a roof tent that increases sleeping capacity and has 520 watts of solar panels on it.

Moreover, this build is impressively well-equipped for year-round adventures with Cruise N Comfort air conditioning, heated floors, instant hot water, and self-heated Lithium batteries that continue operation at sub-zero temperatures. According to the builder, the biggest amenity in this build is the Rixen's hydronic heating system, which not only radiates heat from the floors but also includes three vents for hot air throughout the van and taps into the vehicle's engine heat so that you can arrive at camp with your system preheated.

The interior of the van oozes class through all its pores and will leave you speechless. From the beautiful walnut Chevron flooring with stylish gold strips to the custom cabinetry, everything inside this van is meticulously designed and handcrafted by Lucas himself. In terms of materials, he used high-quality laminate with a super matte finish for the cabinets, Roman clay on the walls for an elegant finish, and plenty of walnut accents throughout the build. Slim light strips throughout create an intimate atmosphere and further enhance the classy look.

The living quarters are separated from the van's cab, and the simple yet practical layout includes a corner shower right behind the driver's seat, a galley-style kitchen, and a large rear lounge that can convert into a comfortable sleeping space. It's hard to believe at first sight, but Odyssey is ready to accommodate up to six adults with three full beds - one in the roof tent on top, a Happijac electric bed lift in the middle, and the converted lounge on the bottom.

During the day, the rear of the van is a nice lounging and dining area with two benches and a Lagun-style swivel table, but when night comes, the backrests drop down in between the benches to create a comfy bed. With the bump outs, you get 6'9" (205.7 cm) of space from side to side.

Getting back to the front of the van, right as you enter, you encounter two sleek features: a unique glass pantry on the left with smart tint that changes the glass from opaque to see-through with a push of a button and a gorgeous slatted wall on the right that hides three recessed cubbies perfect for storing your favorite beverages. It's like a secret bar cabinet that will allow you to entertain and serve drinks with style.

The corner wet bath is a pass-through shower cabin to the front of the cab and boasts a modern design with a black color scheme, elegant Italian tile, an efficient shower head, and a Laveo dry flush toilet.

The kitchen occupies the center of the van, and the highlight is the custom closet with switchable tint glass doors. It is designed to hold kitchen items on the left, like wine glasses, cups, bowls, and everything for making coffee, and clothes on the right, while the bottom integrates plenty of storage drawers. The cool thing about it is that every item in there has its own place holder, so nothing moves while the van is on the road. Equipped with a sink, a two-burner cooktop, a pizza oven, and a large fridge, the kitchen is also highly functional.

The wet garage at the back is great for carrying skis, snowboards, surfboards, wetsuits, and other gear, and an outdoor shower helps wash off dirt from your boots and gear before putting them back in the storage space. Another neat feature at the back of the van is a full pull-out gear tray mounted on 250-lb drawer slides, which makes for great indoor bike storage, gear storage, or even a slide-out outdoor table.

Lucas Ravizza spent eight months working on this Mercedes Sprinter-based luxury camper van and is now selling it for $295,000. It's undoubtedly a hefty price, but then again, the Odyssey is a fantastic high-end year-round camper with all the creature comforts you might imagine, some extra features, and appropriate equipment for off-grid adventures.
