I've written many articles about DIY camper van build. But not everyone has the time, energy, or skills to convert a van into a mobile home by themselves. One solution for those people would be to get their hands on a Class B RV, like the one I'm checking out today.
Sure, a DIY conversion is the most budget-friendly way of getting into van life. However, it's also the most time-consuming one and can be quite challenging and frustrating. A Class B RV will set you back more financially, but it usually makes up for its higher price with premium materials and cleverly arranged interiors.

The Class B RV I'm discussing today was made by Noovo, a Las Vegas-based company specializing in camper vans. It has built more than 300 units so far. Noovo aims "to design camper vans that bring all the comforts of home with you wherever the road may take you."

I've previously covered the "Noovo Lite" here on autoevolution. When I wrote about it back in late December 2023, a "Noovo Plus" version was in the works. Well, this month, the company launched it, and it claims it is "America's first 7-foot interior Class B camper van" and the "first super high roof available in the United States."

The Noovo Plus is based on the Ram ProMaster Super High Roof 159" wheelbase extended. It sports a 3.6-liter V6 engine outputting 276 hp to the front wheels, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. What's more, this RV is designed to accommodate up to four people via a combination of sleeping arrangements, as you'll soon see.

Before we begin the tour, let me set some expectations regarding its price. As I mentioned above, Class B RVs typically cost a pretty penny. The 2024 Noovo Plus has a starting price of $178,000 (€163,983) - that's about how much you'd pay for a high-end, professionally converted camper van, although some run even higher than that.

As usual, I'll start with what we see first: the exterior. There are plenty of accessories you can add to this premium camper van. You read that right – you'll have to pay extra for most of the exterior accessories. You do get 400 W solar panels on the roof as standard.

For instance, you can opt for a self-supporting electrical awning, running boards, rear box storage, off-road tires, and more. Moreover, you'll notice three sizeable windows letting plenty of natural light inside: two in the rear living room (one on each side) and one on the sliding door. They are awning-style windows and come with bug screens and black-out shades.

Now, let's step inside. Slide open the door, and you'll discover a bright and beautifully designed living space. There are two things that set this rig apart. First, the abundant headroom it offers: over 7 feet (213 centimeters) of interior height. The second is Noovo's signature curvy design, which we've previously seen in the Noovo Lite build.

Noovo opted for many wood tones for the cabinetry paired with laminated countertops and Marine Fabric for the walls. Moreover, you'll notice an open layout, meaning the driver's cabin isn't separated from the rest of the interior.

It's not just the surface level of the living space that's well-designed. Its maker made sure to allow Noovo Plus customers to enjoy four-season traveling. The company used Havelock wood for insulation and also added sound insulation.

Since I addressed the issue of insulation, let me also tell you about heating and cooling inside this RV. It's equipped with a Rixen MCS7 Hydronic Furnace system, which can provide up to 17,000 BTUs of heat while offering continuous hot water on demand. On the other hand, the living space remains nice and cool on hotter days due to a Dometic RTX 2000 12 V roof A/C.

At the rear of the interior, you'll find the living room. It features a large, U-shaped couch, a sturdy electric table with two folding sections for easier access, a wall-mounted smart TV, many outlets, and four airplane-style overhead cabinets (two on each side).

Here's where things get really interesting and unique – the ceiling above the living room, which holds the overhead cabinets, is not actually a ceiling. In fact, it's an elevator bed.

This is the first time I've seen one integrate cabinets underneath - this is mainly possible due to the massive interior height. What's more, it boasts a queen-size RV mattress with 6-inch memory foam, and it can be lowered to your preferred height.

If you want to accommodate guests in the Noovo Plus, you can transform the U-shaped couch into a large bed by electronically lowering the table and rearranging the cushions. What’s more, despite devising a large couch, Noovo left some space at the very rear for a small garage, which comes with an outdoor shower.

Next, we have the bathroom, located on the driver's side of the interior. It comes with a cassette toilet with a water flush, a shower, and a teak mat. The best part about the bathroom is that you have hot water on demand when showering. By the way, water inside this rig is provided by a 30-gallon (114-liter) freshwater tank, and it ends up in a 40-gallon (151-liter) greywater tank.

On the opposite side, you'll discover the kitchen. Despite being quite compact in size, it's pretty well-equipped, featuring a sink with a cover and a UV-filtered water faucet, a single-burner induction stove, two slide-out pantries, an overhead cabinet, and three massive drawers. Moreover, next to the bathroom, Noovo added a large fridge/freezer and an overhead microwave.

Finally, at the front, there's an additional seating area, only much smaller. The driver's seat can be swiveled around to face a flip-down desk integrated into a tall storage compartment.

Other notable features in the front of the RV are an enormous headliner shelf, a Maxxair fan, and a control panel above the entrance consisting of a Victron Cerbo GX display/controller, an awning controller, and light switches.

Noovo made sure to allow customers to enjoy worry-free off-grid adventures. The company equipped the rig with Starlink and a very capable electrical system. Its highlights are 660 Ah batteries, a 3,000 W inverter, an ACR charger that allows the system to charge while driving, and a solar charge controller connected to the 400 W solar panels on the roof.

All in all, the Noovo Plus really does offer the creature comforts of a conventional home, all nicely packed in a beautiful living space – it's a true reflection of its makers' mission.

This tiny home on wheels is set to enter production in September this year. You can find out more about it on Noovo's website.
