The camper van industry has really come a long way regarding designs, features, and all-out comfort. Nowadays, if you have the right sum of money, you can get your hands on genuinely well-equipped tiny homes on wheels that offer almost as much comfort as a conventional apartment. Today, I'm checking out one such rig built by Noovo.
Noovo, formerly known as Bemyvan, is a Las Vegas-based company specializing in building camper vans. Its mission is "to create innovative, high-quality products that inspire people to live fully." After traveling 16 countries and 32,000 miles (51,500 km), the company's founders decided to start building tiny homes on wheels and changing other people's lives.

Noovo currently has just one type of custom build available, which bears the company's name. A "noovo plus" version is in the works, the main differentiator being that it will be based on a Super High Roof van, boasting an interior height of 7 feet (213 centimeters). This version is expected to ship in Q3 2024.

If you're interested in getting on the road as soon as possible, you can also opt for a brand-new, pre-built camper van. But today, I want to go into detail regarding a Noovo build based on a Ram ProMaster 3500 High Roof 159 Extended.

This tig was designed for full-time living, offering maximum comfort and off-grid capabilities. Before we dive deep, let me briefly mention costs. A noovo build's price tag starts at $144,000 (€130,252) - of course, that includes the price of the base vehicle. The currently available 2024 pre-built rigs cost $158,700 (€143,549), and there's also a used version priced at $135,000 (€122,112).

The ProMaster 3500 sports a 3.6-liter V6 engine outputting 276 hp and 250 lb-ft. (339 Nm). Moreover, it's paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and gets about 18 to 20 MPG (11.7 to 13 L/100km). I'll start by describing its exterior features. All noovo builds come with several upgrades – you get a self-supported awning for protection against the weather, a roof deck complete with storage options, a ladder to get up there, and a bike rack at the rear.

Step inside, and you'll find a beautifully crafted interior with warm colors and small details that make it stand out from the many camper vans out there. My favorite part is Noovo's signature touch: the curves. You'll notice curved cabinets, a curved countertop, and other curved features.

The curved touches are not only for aesthetic purposes. For instance, the overhead cabinets with curved lips prevent things from falling off and will also hurt you less in the unfortunate case of you accidentally hitting your head in them.

The van we're checking out today is finished with Noovo's Baja interior, which is the company's traditional model and the most popular choice among customers. It boasts high-quality oak Formica laminate, a natural wood ceiling, and light grey cabinets that complete the aesthetic. You can also opt for the Jungle interior, featuring bamboo laminate and earthy colors, or the Forest interior, with walnut laminate and a natural, calming vibe.

Straight ahead as you enter, you'll discover the seating area, right behind the driver's seat. It consists of a bench and a dinette table, complete with an additional swivel table. If you swivel the driver's seat, the table is in the perfect position to enjoy a nice meal or work on your laptop. Moreover, in case you need an extra bench seat, you can lower the table and use it for seating. Other notable details in this area include two overhead cabinets and an under-floor storage spot.

You'll notice part of the kitchen on the opposite side of the seating area. It features a single-burner induction stove, a sink with a UV water filter, and various cabinets and drawers. Move further inside the camper, and you'll find the rest of the kitchen, with a large pantry, a wine rack, and a 12 V fridge.

Right above the sliding door, Noovo fitted the control center for this van's utilities. It consists of a screen that displays information regarding the energy system and another screen that enables you to control a heater. By the way, the heater offers both hot air and hot water and is fed directly by the vehicle's fuel tank.

The next part of this camper van is the bathroom, located on the driver's side of the interior. And by bathroom, I'm not referring to a toilet on a drawer slide like on other camper vans. This is a spacious fixed wet bathroom consisting of a full-size shower cabin, a Maxxair fan, and a Thetford Cassette toilet, which can be flushed. By the way, all the water in this camper van is supplied by a 40-gallon (151-liter) freshwater tank. Moreover, it ends up in a 40-gallon gray water tank.

And lastly, we have the bedroom, located at the very rear of the interior. You'll find an RV queen-size mattress with 6-inch memory foam, a large window that can be opened, some outlets, and a Dometic RTX 2000 A/C up above. For storage, you can use two small hanging closets.

The bed sits higher up, leaving lots of room underneath for the garage. The garage is accessible both from inside and outside and measures 40 inches (102 centimeters) in width, 32 inches (81 centimeters) in height, and 60 inches (152 centimeters) deep.

On the garage's right side, the builder devised the electrical system. It's a Victron electrical system featuring a MultiPlis 3,000 W inverter/charger, a 200 Ah battery, a DC/DC charger, and various other components. The battery can be charged by driving, via a shore power connection, or through the 400 W solar panels on the roof.

On the other side, you'll discover the plumbing system, with 40 gallons of fresh water and a water pump that gives off 3.5 gallons (13 liters) a minute. What's more, there's an outdoor shower, perfect for washing off your feet after a day at the beach.

All in all, Noovo has created a fantastic tiny home on wheels. It's got the proper off-grid capabilities to serve as a full-time home, a well-equipped kitchen, and the usually sought-after bathroom, all encased into a striking interior.

I’d like to offer bonus points for Noovo for having all the info regarding their builds laid out in a clear and understandable way. That not only makes it easier for journalists such as myself to present the campers to you, but it also enables enthusiasts looking for inspiration to find out the exact features they could fit on their DIY builds.
