An example of the "ultimate record-breaking (EV) hypercar," the Rimac Nevera, has been reunited with the first customer in the Netherlands - and it clearly shows where its allegiance belongs.
Mate Rimac, founder and CEO of Rimac Automobili but also the big new boss at Bugatti Rimac, has been making the news rounds quite often as of late. Because of their exotic status, Bugatti and Rimac are not exactly the mass-market automakers that always keep the news headlines for just about anything it does.

Instead, they only speak about important things. However, Mate Rimac is an ever-increasing busy man, and he has quite a few things to talk about. Not long ago, he opened the door to show us that something cool was hiding under a tarp. While select Bugatti customers had already seen the surprise, we must wait a little longer before they unwrap Chiron's successor.

To ease the pain of waiting, Mate Rimac showed us a glimpse of the company's new powertrain – a V16 hybrid engine that has been in development for more than two years already. Back to his Rimac side of the business, where everything is about the hypercar EV lifestyle, we recently found out that the CEO finally got his own Rimac Nevera, a subdued one – but it's still adorned with a surprise dedication to his wife.

If you think that's sweet, some folks show their love for their passions even more overtly. Now, another custom Rimac Nevera is making the rounds – the first Dutch-registered example of the hypercar arrived in Rotterdam "in a milestone event for Dutch automotive enthusiasts." It's a bespoke example, of course, and it's the first example of the Nevera delivered officially to the Netherlands.

Now, if you're wondering about the color scheme, the custom exterior finish features "a triple arrow livery" fashioned in Volcano Red, Polar White, and Navy Blue. There is also a Tinted Orange Gloss finish for the fiber carbon elements, Gunmetal Diamond Cut wheels, and Gloss Black calipers, and all the exterior 'dramatism' is simple to explain: Dutch entrepreneur Michel Perridon, the owner, wanted to nod at the Dutch national flag.

The cockpit, of course, is also tailored. Inside, there is a combination of Dark Blue leather and Red Alcantara, plus Dark Blue accents across the dashboard and white stitching. Presented during the summer of 2021 in prototype form, the Rimac Nevera is a limited-production (150 examples worldwide) all-electric hypercar, a sibling of the Pininfarina Battista, and the successor of the Rimac Concept One. It has 1,888 hp and a 120-kWh Lithium Manganese Nickel feeding power to four electric motors – one for each wheel.

So far, its performance has already been put to trial – it managed to set more than twenty performance world records in just one year, including the Nürburgring Nordschleife lap record for production EVs, the best time for a production car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed hill climb event, and even one in reverse!
