Some of us here at autoevolution have developed an obsession with the Chevrolet Impala, and depending on whom you ask, you will get different answers on which one is the best.
The occasional donk that's part of the fifth generation, which was made from 1971 to 1976, is certainly on the list, as well as the SS models. To others, however, it's either the first, the second, or the third generation. And yours truly believes the latter is the sexiest Impala ever made.

In production for only four years, from 1960 to 1964, it was offered in multiple body styles, including coupe, convertible, sedan, and station wagon. Related to models such as the Bel Air or the Nomad, the second-gen Chevy Impala had a front-engine and rear-wheel drive layout and came with multiple powertrains, including a pair of straight-six units and several V8s, paired with manual or automatic transmissions.

Depending on how much money one can spend on an Impala, they can end up coughing out a small fortune for a pristine example. But more often, it is the affordable copies that change hands quicker. And we think the pictured car will find a new home in no time, considering that it has been in the possession of the same person for the last 27 years. Its current owner took good care of it, hence the shiny exterior that features a gold finish, the right chrome accents, and a white vinyl roof. As it has seen better days, the tan interior does need some tender loving care, but overall, this is a ride that's ready to hit the road.

The hardtop sedan has around 92,000 miles (~148,000 kilometers) on the clock and is powered by the 283-cubic-inch V8. The 4.6-liter engine works in concert with an automatic transmission, in this case, that sends the power to the rear axle. The ad doesn't speak about the output and torque, nor does it say whether this classic Impala has undergone restoration. Judging by the images accompanying it, we think it was only properly maintained over the years, but we could be mistaken. Still, as we already told you, it's the cabin that you'll have to focus on if you decide to buy it, though the exterior also needs a bit more shine.

Advertised by Garage Kept Motors, this 1962 Chevrolet Impala is looking for a new home. The old-timer is in stock, with pre-purchase inspections welcomed, though only by appointment. According to the ad that you can find here, the car is actually pending sale, hence why the vendor hasn't provided an asking price at the time of writing. If you were in the market for such a ride, how much would you pay for it?
