It's like Zeus met his doppelganger in a battle of epic proportions that generated enough electricity to melt the Earth, only in takes place on a drag strip, during the night, between two electric cars coming from different universes.
In the electric corner, here comes the much-appreciated Tesla Model S all-electric sedan, ready to prove it can face competitors on a drag course. Also in the electric corner awaits a 1968 Mustang going by the name of Zombie 222, ready to shred tires in silent mode. Wait, what?

Since when is a race between a modern sedan and a classic Mustang fair? Well, this is the catch because although the Model S is not your ordinary saloon, Zombie 222 - as the name suggests - is something way more unorthodox.

And by that we mean this 'Stang has two 11-inch electric motors under the hood, seasoned with a Gear Vendors overdrive unit juiced-up by a 40 kWh battery pack. The resulting electric wrath is the equivalent of 750 horsepower and maximum torque of 1,800 lb-ft (2,440 Nm), figures that make the 691 HP in the Tesla Model S P85D look like a puppy.

So there's no surprise that Zombie 222 did the quarter mile in 10.2 seconds while the Model S needed 11.4 seconds.

Of course, you can't take the Zombie 222 out for a Sunday ride without scaring all the children in your neighborhood and it won't ease your need for space and practicality but, seriously now, there's no room for this type of regrets when you get to drive a car that mixes up elements from both the green and the pony car world.
