Tesla recently delivered a few production-ready Cybertrucks to lucky customers. They were fortunate enough to be selected for this exclusive perk. Owning a special vehicle that everyone has been talking about for years right before the Holidays is poised to make anyone smile and be very happy. But you can extend that child-like joy to your kid or kids, nephews, nieces, and some other young people who might be deserving of your generosity. Tesla created a mini-Cybertruck that looks almost like the real deal, and it's shaping up to be a marvelous gift idea.
Whatever you might think of Tesla's first all-electric pickup truck, there's one thing nobody can take away from it: the "WOW" factor.

This angular vehicle, with its bulletproof body made from a special stainless steel alloy, glass that can withstand someone throwing a baseball at it, humongous mono-wiper, huge windshield, 800V architecture, bidirectional charging, and a tough tonneau cover that renders the rear back glass useless is an impressive sight.

It might not be a workhorse like the gas-powered F-150 is, but it's undoubtedly one of America's latest products that impresses and makes people in the auto industry wonder why they don't have the same courage Tesla has.

Production has just begun. So, the Cybertruck won't reach many customers this year. Still, the automaker estimates a production capacity of 125,000 copies in 2024 and about two million reservations. We'll see how many buyers will get the next batch of pickup trucks. Giga Texas should be making around 342 Cybertrucks per day (including weekends and holidays) to meet that ambitious target.

But being unable to get your hands on a real Cybertruck doesn't mean your or someone else's kid shouldn't. Tesla's mini-Cybertruck boasts a 500W motor that feeds onto a 22V battery. It can reach 10 mph, but cautious parents can limit the top speed to 5 mph via a switch.

Not a fan of running after your kid? Don't worry. The range is up to 12 miles, which means a joyride on a full battery this winter should not be longer than nine or ten miles.

The rear-wheel-drive EV has the iconic front light bar and the a-la-Robocop taillight, which makes it look like a shrunken-down version of the real thing. It can also seat two kids and boasts the controversial steering yoke.

Now, even though this $1,500 toy is reminiscent of an already iconic, rugged pickup truck, Tesla didn't want to make it into a true mini-Cybertruck like ND Woodworking Art did. There's no roof! As such, it guarantees an open-top experience.

Unfortunately, the "Cybertruck for Kids" follows in the footsteps of the real thing and isn't in stock when writing. Moreover, the world's most valuable carmaker can't guarantee delivery before Christmas. You can sign up to receive an email alert when the toy is restocked. But, until then, you'll have to wait.

Still, it's a great idea that Tesla's selling this thing to prospective customers. It can make kids extra happy and helps the automaker do some brand-building and Cybertruck advertising.

Lastly, let's not forget that delayed gratitude is something great to teach your little ones. If you're away this Christmas, the brand's delivery schedule might work in your favor. Buy the mini-Cybertruck when it's back in stock, wait to have it delivered, and help your or someone else's kid end 2023 with a bang. They'll remember it, for sure!

Car shows on TV and his father's Fiat Tempra may have been Florin's early influences, but nowadays he favors different things, like the power of an F-150 Raptor. He'll never be able to ignore the shape of a Ferrari though, especially a yellow one.
