A 2024 Tesla Cybertruck got T-boned in a junction in Tampa, Florida, by a Nissan Sentra. All that is left of the Nissan's front end is a pile of metal. However, the EV looks as if it barely felt the impact and will probably return to the road soon.
According to witnesses, one of the vehicles involved ran a red light and the Nissan Sentra ended up t-boning the Tesla Cybertruck. Both of the vehicles had to be towed away by a truck, with the electric one on top.
The Nissan had its entire front end deformed, while pieces of the front bumper and hood could be seen around the car on the tarmac on S Himes Avenue in Tampa, Florida. The sedan has no chance whatsoever of getting back to the road again.
The Cybertruck had only sustained minor damage on the passenger's side front fender and rear, as the fender flare flares seemed to have been ripped off. The stainless steel on both doors has been deformed, and both tires on that side went flat.
But most likely, the vehicle is a run-and-drive and is worth fixing. The photos and videos from the crash scene do not show if there was any structural damage to the body of the Tesla.
The Corolla driver reportedly turned right, struck a dirt embankment on the right shoulder, went back into the roadway, crossed over the double yellow lines, and crashed into the Tesla Cybertruck, which was traveling north.
Back then, the Toyota seemed totaled. But the Cybertruck had suffered a bent rear fender on the driver's side. Other than that, the stainless steel body came out all right following the collision. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries but refused to be transported to the hospital.
Last month, another Cybertruck slammed into the signage of the Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles. The driver reportedly failed to press the brake and pressed the accelerator instead. A fraction of a second later, he and his Cybertruck were up on the raised curb in front of the luxury hotel.
One of the owner's friends posted on X to say that it was the valet who crashed the electric pick up truck. He erased it hours later and admitted that the owner was behind the wheel at the moment of the incident. There weren't any reports of injuries.
