Following the introduction of the GTstreet R package for the Porsche 911 Turbo S at the beginning of the month, Techart has now put the spotlight on the GTsport alternative, which is far less extreme, albeit just as exciting.
Set to be on display at the Bangkok Motor Show in Thailand from March 27 to April 7 for its local premiere, the new Techart GTsport brings exterior customization in the form of a new body kit, interior updates, and a healthy power boost to round off the project.
The renowned tuner has signed the front apron, spoiler, and hood in the visual department. It has also left its mark on the side skirts, side air intakes, the rear diffuser, the apron, and the wing. The wheels also came from Techart's portfolio. They are called the Formula VII Race, and they're a forged proposal, measuring 21 inches at the rear axle and 20 inches at the front.
In the press release announcing the car's presence at the 2024 Bangkok Motor Show, which also comprises the pictures shared above in the gallery, the tuner also mentions some interior revisions. They haven't gone into specifics, but it is obvious that we are looking at a new steering wheel, sports pedal, some red accents, special entry sills revealing the tuner's name, a few carbon fiber touches, and a GTsport emblem that also reveals the model's limited nature, as only 30 will be made.
Mind you, the Porsche 911 (992) Turbo S is already very potent, so it doesn't need any extra oomph. It features a straight-six lump with a 3.8-liter displacement and forced induction, which steams out 640 horsepower (649 ps/477 kW). The output is available at 6,750 rpm and from 2,500 to 4,000 rpm, the motor, which can be revved up to 7,200 rpm, puts 590 pound-feet (800 Nm) of torque under the driver's right foot.
Nevertheless, despite not needing more power, no tuning job would be complete without such a modification. As a result, Techart has also left its signature on the car's engine, stating that its performance kit bumps the output and thrust by 59 hp (60 ps/44 kW) and 74 lb-ft (100 Nm). This means that drivers will enjoy 699 hp (709 ps/521 kW) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque with this mod.
As an alternative, interested parties can order a more serious performance boost for their 911 (992) Turbo S from Techart, which unlocks an extra 148 hp (150 ps/110 kW). In this case, the lump will kick out a much more impressive 788 hp (799 ps/588 kW). Techart hasn't mentioned any pricing details, so if you're curious how much everything costs, you will have to reach out to them.
