Good news for the fans of the Hamamatsu bikes: Suzuki's official testing calendar for 2013 was revealed, and the factory will have no less than 5 events in Europe.
MCN have got wind of Suzuki intending to pt their new MotoGP bikes against the Yamah, Honda and Ducati machines in three public tests throughout 2013. Two private tests are also scheduled. As far as who will test ride the liter-class bikes, the only confirmed name is still Nobuatsu Aoki, with Randy de Puniet still tagged as "rumored".

Aoki was impressed with the development of the Suzuki MotoGP project after he tested the machine in Japan. The first official ride will take place at the Catalunya circuit in Barcelona, Spain, during the post-race testing in mid-June, followed by a private run at Motorland Aragon.

The second public test is scheduled for September after the Misano (Rimini, Italy) race. The bikes remain in Italy for the next private test at Mugello, while the last MotoGP event of the year, in Valencia, Spain, (November) will also be the grounds for Suzuki's 5th test, a public one after the series race.

Aoki also stressed that Suzuki is struggling to update their electronics to a competitive level: “In MotoGP the electronics are everything and because Suzuki has missed a couple of years it means there is a huge gap for us in this area compared to Honda, Yamaha and Ducati and we have to close this gap. Also out of the track I can hear the exhaust note and I can imagine what they are doing."
